Gaming Daily: Watch Harley Quinn Kick Butt in BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT

Well, that escalated quickly. After being on the brink of passing out due to the lack of happenings in this dry pre-E3 game news drought, Bethesda decided to bring a wet, wild monsoon of a surprise by teasing a Fallout announcement that’s set to come tomorrow morning. This was followed by news of a 1 TB PlayStation 4 SKU possibly coming to the market, a possible Dark Souls 3 announcement at E3, and a brand new Lego: Dimensions trailer. Phew! Capping off the evening in today’s Gaming Daily: Harley Quinn shows folks who’s boss in the latest Arkham Knight trailer, Destiny‘s newest expansion has been all but confirmed, and Steam issues a extremely user-friendly refund policy.

Harley Quinn flexes her muscles in Batman: Arkham Knight

She’s waifu. She’s boo. She’s so damn bae that Margot Robbie is playing her in the upcoming Suicide Squad film. She’s Harley Quinn, and she’s going to be a playable character in Batman: Arkham Knight. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been waiting to see what the vibrant vandal can do when giving the good ole Rocksteady treatment. The trailer above gives you a first hand peek at what that looks like. Sexy!

As of right now, Miss Quinzel will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game as a part of story-based DLC. The mission featured will have Harley breaking into a Blüdhaven Police Department to rescue Poison Ivy, beating the donut sprinkles out of any authorities who obstruct her from freeing her fellow ruffian. I don’t think crime ever looked this good. Nope, it hasn’t.

Redbull

Red Bull unveils future Destiny content.

Sometimes, I guzzle cases of Red Bull so fast, I don’t pay a drop of attention to any of the print on the packaging, because I am a monster. What? I needs my energies! Luckily, someone who isn’t as shameless as me did. A photo of a Red Bull case surfaced on the Australian community page of MMGN, unveiling the name to what appears to be a future Destiny expansion. Behold: The Taken King.

We’ve seen this name already pop up in the past after Bungie registered the trademark back in early May. All signs are currently pointing to this being a big Fall expansion for the game. We’re certainly due to receive more insight on The Taken King come E3 time. Meanwhile, House of Wolves has been a splendid expansion to the game, and has proven to be well worth a return trip to the tower in my opinion. Also, Red Bull has definitely been coming in handy when attempting to go 9-0 in the gruesome Trials of Osiris. Ah, the irony.

Steam

Steam changes its refund policy to be more user-friendly.

Big news on the digital landscape for PC gamers! Steam unveiled their brand new refund policy this morning, giving players a full 14 days to relinquish access to games they purchase, in exchange for their money back. Refunds will be fulfilled within a week of request to players’ Steam Wallet or other corresponding payment method. Keep in mind folks, this is a full-blown refund. Every cent. Makes you feel a lot more comfortable about DRM, huh?

Could this be Steam trying to make good with consumers after their recently botched attempt at implementing paid mods? Possibly. Either way, this has been a long time coming and quite possibly one of the best things to happen on the digital gaming landscape in a while. Oh, and don’t even think about cheating the system and using this as a means to rent games – after you hit the two hour mark in time played, the games will officially be yours and you will no longer be granted the ability to refund them. But at least if a game is immediately repulsive, you have the option of sending it back the other way.

That about wraps it for Tuesday’s Gaming Daily. Always keep it parked here on Nerdist for all of the juicy video game developments, and to chat about our beloved medium, I’m only one tweet away: @Malik4play.
