It’s NFL season opener’s eve, and while many are scrambling to prepare their fantasy football teams and organizing their opening day parties, we’re right here delivering the what’s what in gaming. In today’s helping of gaming happenings, we’ve got some Watch Dogs DLC, next-gen versions of Minecraft, and the Ouya even made the headlines, just when you thought you’d never hear from them again. Let’s get into today’s news!

A new Watch Dogs story expansion is coming later this month.

If there wasn’t any bad blood between you and Watch Dogs before, then there will be later this month. The “Bad Blood” DLC expansion will hit on September 30 and include 10 missions based around Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney, as well as a new feature called “Street Sweep” contracts, which pits players on a quest to vanquish the crime of the Chicago streets. Watch Dogs season pass holders will receive the DLC for free as part of their subscription, but there’s still no price on the DLC for non pass holders. Maybe this will keep those iCloud hackers occupied from leaking more celebrity nudes to the web.

Minecraft now available on the PS4.

The folks at Mojang continue their quest for world domination, bringing their pleasantly pixelated powerhouse Minecraft to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Xbox One version will launch this Friday, with 360 owners having the ability to upgrade to the Xbox One version for a quarter of the full price, which is $20. The game has already launched on PS4 in Europe and should be landing in other territories shortly. I would assume that Notch’s next move would be to bring Minecraft to Facebook, if it weren’t for his actions after the social network acquired the Oculus Rift.

New Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare trailer tells all about the multiplayer.

If you’ve been itching to know the what’s what in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare multiplayer, then this new trailer released today will be right up your alley. Surely this should be enough to get most shooter fans’ chops wet, but for those of you who need more urging, you can always check out my first impressions of Advanced Warfare‘s multiplayer on Nerdist Play.

Ouya Reportedly looking to Google, Tencent and other companies for acquisition.

One $8.6 million Kickstarter and a rocky first year out later, the folks at Ouya are in talks to be acquired by Google, Tencent (the company that owns Riot Games), Amazon, or one of several Chinese companies. What’s interesting about this is the fact that there are Chinese companies in the discussion, which can surely be accredited to China’s recent lifting of their 14-year foreign console sales ban. What’s even more interesting is the fact that Ouya is not settling for more crowd funding, but rather aiming to be bought out by a big dog. This may be a bit too late if you ask me.
