Mortal Kombat X to get some live-action love from Warner Bros.

Mortal Kombat X‘s official release may be next year, but it feels like that’s closing in fast with all of the buzz that keeps growing around this title. To capitalize on the excitement, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is putting together a digital series that will release alongside the game. The series is said to feature some of Mortal Kombat‘s veteran fighters, while introducing the lot that the new class of characters set to make their debut in the game have to offer.

Only folks unfamiliar with the Mortal Kombat franchise would call this a bold move. With an IP as established in the game space as Mortal Kombat and a track record for having rather decent live-action content, I can’t find a reason for anyone to say “no” to this. Finish him… or, it, Warner Bros.!

Brutal Legend returns on PC with Limited Edition from IndieBox.

We may be five years removed from Tim Schafer and Jack Black’s collaboration on the unorthodox action/RTS title Brutal Legend, but that isn’t stopping IndieBox from shipping a limited edition copy of the game in their bundle of monthly collectibles. The self-proclaimed “greatest action-metal-comedy” game will be available up until 11:59 PST tonight, for anyone looking to shred their way down memory lane. Indiebox is a monthly service similar to Loot Crate that ships physical copies of indies games out to its subscribers, along with a slew of other material themed around the game. Sounds like something I can get behind!

A good track record for live action content?? are you kidding? The ONLY good live action content out there is a trailer for a MK movie that didn’t get made. Lets invest and expand on that one.
