While we posted our review of Game of Thrones Episode 2–The Lost Lords and reported on Lara Croft’s upcoming adventures and the Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Editions earlier today, there were a couple of other things in the gaming industry we thought would entertain you. In today’s Gaming Daily, a rockin’ advertisement for The Order: 1886 was released, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin got a new trailer and some guy beat Punch Out blindfolded.

The Order: 1986

Wait, what? Yes, you heard right, but apparently the guys in the video didn’t. With the release of Ready at Dawn‘s The Order: 1886 just around the corner, the team over at Corridor Digital with help from Sony–in an unknown capacity–released a hair metal take on the PS4 exclusive.

The video depicts an 80’s era rock music video that, when interrupted by real lycans, segues to a couple of guys pitching the concept. Unfortunately for the duo, they were clearly in the wrong century.

It’s an odd, yet creatively entertaining way to pique people’s interest in the game.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin–Forlorn Hope trailer released

Well look what we have here. Remember those images of a supposed Dark Souls live action trailer we talked about last month? They’ve popped up again in a brand new trailer for Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin–which is a compilation of the title and its DLC campaigns releasing on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this April.

The trailer, dubbed Forlorn Hope, gives excited players a look at what to expect come April 7 in Scholar of the First Sin. While the release includes all of the enemies and locations we’ve already seen, it looks like some of the enemies have moved around.

In case you missed it, Kotaku (and I’m sure others around the web) have pointed out that our good old friend The Pursuer has found a new spot to scare the ever living daylights out of us at.

Welp. From the looks of his rather large cave troll companion here, The Pursuer will be hanging out at the VERY beginning of the game. While we don’t know whether he will be there from the start or on a New Game+ run, you shouldn’t have too much to worry about– unless of course you make the mistake of wandering around before you head over to the house full of creepy fortune teller ladies. So, if Scholar of The First Sin is your first attempt at the game, my one bit of advice to you is to follow the straight path and don’t look back.

Forlorn hope indeed.

This guy beat Punch Out in 30 minutes with his eyes closed. 

We’ve reported on speedruns and the like, but nothing takes the cake like successfully blazing through a game while blindfolded. Whether this guy had help, could see through the beanie, or glitched the system, the above 34 minute video is still pretty entertaining to watch.

Jack Wedge, who is actually a known speedrunner, was inspired by past runs and decided to take on the difficult task himself. He successfully pulls off a 14-0 streak using a wii emulator in impressive time.
