The holidays are officially here, everybody. I know, you’re probably busy planning your Thanksgiving meals, or at least thinking about what you’re going to eat tomorrow. But, before that, we have a couple of news stories to run through. In today’s Gaming Daily, it looks like Koei Tecmo won’t be bringing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 out West because they are afraid of backlash, there’s a special winter event coming to Rocket League, Virtuix released a video featuring Fallout 4 on the Omni treadmill, and Bungie revealed that Destiny‘s King’s Fall Raid is getting a harder mode.
Koei Tecmo explains why they won’t be localizing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3.
Although Koei Tecmo fans have been begging to have Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune in the West, it looks like the publisher isn’t going to localize it. In fact, they’ve stated that they won’t be changing their mind about the spin-off series. Team Ninja’s community manager explained the reasoning behind the developer’s decision in a post on facebook.
When asked whether the game wold be coming to Europe and the U.S., he responded: âWe do not bring [Dead or Alive Xtreme 3] to the west and wonât have any plan change in the future. Thank you for asking.â
When probed, he explained, âDo you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.â
Koei Tecmo Europe confirmed the community manager’s remarks on Twitter, stating “Kudos to the [Team Ninja’s community manager] for being honest. But if you really want it, you can import [the English] ver.”

This is what Fallout 4 looks like on the Virtuix Omni Treadmill.
Now THIS is how we want to play Fallout 4. The folks at Virtuix recently released a video featuring somebody using their omni-directional treadmill and the Oculus Rift VR goggles while playing Fallout 4. While this isn’t something fans will be able to do, it’s an interesting look at what VR may be capable of in the future. Does this look like something you’d want to try?

A winter games event  is coming to Rocket League.
After announcing the hockey-inspired Mutator Mode titled “Snow Day” the other day, Rocket League developer Psyonix took to the PlayStation Blog to unveil even more winter-themed content. Starting December 14, several holiday-themed garage items (similar to what they did for Halloween) will be available for a limited time, as part of the “Winter Games” collection.
All you’ll have to do to unlock the items, will be to play the game. The drop-rate for the items is lower than the one for standard items, but the good news is that you don’t have to win games to get them, and once you do, they’ll be yours forever.
Here’s what you’ll have a chance to grab:
- Xmasâ Rocket Trail
- âBlitzenâ Topper
- âChristmas Treeâ Topper
- âSad Saplingâ Topper
- âSantaâ Topper
- âCandy Caneâ Antenna
- âHoliday Giftâ Antenna
Scoring free content sounds like a holly, jolly good time. With the holidays here, we’ll have more free time to play the title, so the announcement couldn’t have come at a better time. Which one do you hope you’ll be able to grab?

“Harder” challenge modes coming to Destiny’s King’s Fall Raid.
During their weekly Destiny update, Bungie revealed that a harder challenge modes will be coming to The King’s Fall Raid (which was included in The Taken King expansion). The challenges will prompt players to defeat the raid’s bosses in a “very specific manner.”
“Early in December, one of the King’s Fall bosses will offer their challenge each week,” lead raid designer Gavin Irby explained in Bungie’s Weekly Update.
“You’ll see which boss when you select the Raid in the Director. It will display next to a skull, just like one of our Nightfall modifiers. They work on both normal and hard mode, and offer rewards to match. Each boss’s challenge requires that you defeat them in a very specific manner. How, exactly? We’re going to leave that up to you to discover (but apologies in advance to those that run the single-pool strat for Golgoroth). Good luck, Guardians!”
