You can play Super Smash Bros. on a calculator!

If you’ve been wondering what to do with the graphing calculator your 11th grade teacher convinced you was “absolutely necessary” for the past few years, this one’s for you! A popular modder by the name of Hayleia has finally completed and released a free demake of Smash Bros. for the TI-83/84 calculators today. The game entitled Smash Bros. Open features only Fox and Falco at the moment and comes equipped with multiplayer. Check out the impressive gifs below:

According to a post by the creator back in August, including “Open” in the title refers to the fact that people who are inclined to add additional characters or content will be able to do so because it is completely open-source. If you’re able to do any of that hop to it because Hayleia is looking for help.

drive club

Premium Drive Club DLC  will be free of charge for owners of the full game.

Although we still don’t have a release date for the PS + version of Drive Club, Evolution Studios will be gifting free premium DLC to those who have purchased the full game as a means of thanking them for their patience with the frustrating launch. This announcement, which was made via the offcial Drive Club Facebook page is in reference to the DLC packs that were already slated for a November 25th release date.

According to the post, the packs will include: The Ignition Expansion Pack, Photo Finish Tour Pack and two livery packs which include five new cars, 22 new tour events, 10 new trophies and 10 new livery items for both online and offline play. Also, the season pass will be extended a month longer and will include four extra packs.

Reviews for Far Cry 4 are in.

After taking a lot of flack for Assassin’s Creed: Unity for framerate issues, it seems Ubisoft’s other title Far Cry 4, which releases next Tuesday, is fairing a lot better. Here’s a peek of the praise it is getting all over the web:

GamesRadar: 4/5

Destructoid: 9/10

The Guardian: 4/5

Metro: 9/10

Sonic Boom

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric disappoints critics.

On the flip side, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric has been raking in some pretty disappointing reviews since its release on Tuesday. Here’s what people have been saying about our favorite blue hedgehog’s latest adventure:

IGN: 4.3/10

Game Informer: 4/10

Game Spot: 2/10

HardCoreGamer: 2.5/5

Being dubbed “Sonic Boo” by two websites probably isn’t a good sign.

That’s it for today everybody. Keep a tab open for Nerdist for all your latest  gaming news, reviews and features.
