Gaming Daily: Glorious ASSASSIN’S CREED: UNITY Glitches Have Hit the Web

I’m sure by now you’re in need of a break from playing yesterday’s releases of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. Luckily for you, we’re here to keep you both informed, and most importantly, entertained before you dive back in. In today’s Gaming Daily: hilarious Assassin’s Creed: Unity glitches have hit the web, Bloodborne has been delayed, and Destiny is going down for maintenance tomorrow. What are we waiting for? Let’s go!

I see game glitches.

While the Assassin’s Creed franchise is no stranger to glitches– especially ones involving magical boats (*cough* Black Flag *cough*)– the bugs courtesy of Ubisoft’s newest entry Unitythat have been blowing up all over the web since yesterday take the cake. There are faceless NPCs, hair clearly made for an Herbal Essences (or L’Oreal since we’re in Paris) commercial, and much more.

This comes as no surprise, especially since there have been several complaints about how the game runs. The title is riddled with framerate drops, texture issues and terrifying monstrosities that are sure to haunt your nightmares for quite some time.

Another game that’s been making headlines for its buggy behavior is Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Most of the reported issues with this one are in relation to match-making, which the game’s developer 343 Industries is reportedly already working on a fix for. While most people are frustrated by the problems they’ve been having, this guy can’t stop laughing. It’s hard not to laugh along with him, especially if you’re a long time fan of the series.

Bloodborne has been delayed.

Cue the collective sigh. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog by Bloodborne producer Masaaki Yamagiwa, FromSoftware’s upcoming PS4 title has been delayed. Instead of the February 6, 2015 release date originally scheduled for the game, it has now been set to release a month and a half later on March 27.

“While development continues unabated, we would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience.” Yamagiwa stated. “We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited Alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings.”

The post also hinted that the company would be revealing some exciting Bloodborne news sometime in early December. With both the VGAs and the PlayStation event falling on December 5th and 6th respectively, this remark is a delightful taste of what we will see that weekend.

bungie maintenance

Destiny will be under maintenance tomorrow.

Guess what? Bungie will be doing maintenance on Destiny yet again, so if you were planning on getting your guardian groove on tomorrow morning, make sure to do it before 8 AM PST because the game will be down until noon.

This will kickstart the updates Bungie revealed were on the way in their last Weekly Update. Several of the things mentioned in the post include: being able to talk to matchmade teammates, better exotic weapons, new gear and shaders, and maybe even a more generous Cryptarch.

That’s all we’ve got for you today everybody. Keep Nerdist tabbed for all your videogame news, reviews and features. If you want to discuss your faceless NPC theories or speculate about the impending Bloodborne announcement, leave a comment below or shoot me a message on Twitter: @sam3214!
