Gaming Daily: DESTINY: HOUSE OF WOLVES May Be Delayed

I don’t know about you guys, but I am stoked for the Ratchet & Clank film, even more so now that I know who some of the voice actors are. It is a star-studded affair and should be great fun. Don’t mess this up Sony! Other than that, we also got news today that Nintendo will be bringing back the Nintendo World Championships this year after a 25 year intermission. Both sets of news are great. Fortunately for you, we have plenty more where that came from in today’s Gaming Daily. Destiny’s House of Wolves DLC may end up being delayed, Life Is Strange Episode 3 is due out next Tuesday, and the magma red Dualshock 4 is set to release this summer in the US. Let’s get to it then.

Destiny: House of Wolves is having issues with the latest update.

Well, this bit of news is unfortunate. In a message posted on the discussion boards, community manager David Dague indicated that the release of House of Wolves may be affected by a recent update released. Update 1.20 was released last week to everyone, but was not going to be activated until next week’s launch of the expansion. According to David, the patch is causing some technical issues. Patches messing games up is nothing new of course, but the fact that it is so soon to what was considered to be the largest expansion yet for Destiny means trouble. David Dague goes on to say:

“I’ve spoken with the finest minds at Bungie about Update 1.2.0 just moments ago. They’re working to correct a late-breaking technical issue that would have impacted the way the game launches for a large portion of you. Progress is being made.

We’ll be sharing new details on the deployment schedule that leads to House of Wolves as soon as they become facts. At the very least, you’ll hear from me once a day about this. Hang in there, and thank you for your patience.”

Honestly, it is best to just delay the expansion to get things right. There have been too many games and patches that release before they are ready, which only ends up hurting the players. If there are worries of any sort of push back from the community, it would be best to compensate players for time lost with some sort of in-game gift. I have played over 200 hours of Destiny and the Dark Below lost me as a fan, so this expansion is paramount on my decision to give it another chance.

Life is Strange Ep 3 Image 05132015

Life Is Strange Episode 3 will roll out next week.

With the emphasis on story telling and time bending abilities of a teenage girl, Life is Strange has been a pleasant surprise to gamers. Square Enix has announced that the latest chapter in the drama will be out next week. Episode 3: Chaos Theory will be out next Tuesday, to be exact. It promises to “ramp up” the investigations of the going-ons in Blackwell Academy, and even add a new ability for Max’s time rewind abilities.

With 5 episodes being planned, the third chapter should be where things definitely reach the next excitement level. If you have played the second episode then you know that things are for sure getting out of hand.

The game certainly has an emphasis on decision making, so it is going to be interesting to see how everyone’s paths vary from each other and where things end up. We did an impressions  piece on the first episode and really wanted to hit the rewind button just to get that emotional pay-off over and over again. The episodes are short and only $5 each, so make sure to give it a shot. Now is the time to catch up.

Red Dualshock 4

Magma red Dualshock 4 will set the US on fire this summer.

California isn’t the only thing that is going to be thirsty for water this summer. Terrible drought jokes aside, Sony has announced through twitter that their super hot Magma Red Dualshock 4 will be releasing this summer in the US, quenching the thirst of Playstation 4 enthusiasts who have been clamoring for more colors. I guess you can say, “better late than never.” Many other places have already gained access to the controller, so we are not sure why it took this long to release in the states.

There is no denying the sexiness of the red colored controller, and though it is not the 20th Anniversary grey, it is a fantastic addition to anyone’s collection. Current colors available in the US include: blue, black, white, and camouflage. That gives you 5 whopping color pallets to choose from. Collect them all if you are into that sort of thing! I don’t know why you would need 5 controllers though, the PS4 only allows for four of them to be connected at once. With that being said, I will make sure to get my hands on one.

If you are interested in the new Dualshock 4, you can go on the PlayStation website to pre-order now. If you already have one, well, don’t rub it in.

That is it for today peeps, it has been a good one. I have made some terrible jokes, but at least we got some good news today. House of Wolves should also be much better off if it does get delayed. Now, fast forward to the comments section below, and let us know how your Life Is Strange timeline is going. Keep the positivity going everyone.
