Gaming Daily: BLOODBORNE The Highest-Rated Next-Gen Exclusive To Date

It was quite a slow 24 hours in news on this Tuesday, with the news of the The X-Files‘ return pretty much dominating the day. But even so, we still have a few good ones for you in this edition of Gaming Daily. Gamestop possibly getting a new shipment of limited edition Nintendo 3DS systems and the new Heroes of the Storm patch are topics among the topics on the agenda. But first, we’ll take a look at some of the stunning critical acclaim From Software’s Bloodborne has been receiving.

Bloodborne = dope

Hopefully you have titanium earbuds or don’t have a fear of flying insects, because the buzz around From Software’s latest action-RPG has been massive enough to break sound barriers. The game has received some rave reviews thus far across the net, quickly becoming the highest-rated PlayStation 4 (or next-gen period) exclusive to date.

We’ve been knee deep in excitement over this one here at the office, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to have an effect on our productivity sooner or later. Gee, thanks, From Software. Our review is currently still in progress, but in the meantime, here’s a look at some of the review marks from fellow outlets:

The Escapist: 4.5/5
Destructoid: 9/10
Game Informer: 9.75/10
Gamesradar: 4.5/5
Gamespot: 9/10

Heroes of the Storm update introduces Sylvanas

The patch notes for the latest Heroes of the Storm update are looking quite delectable, if I may say so. The update features the game’s newest hero Sylvanas, a brand new map by the name of “Tomb of the Spider Queen,” the heavily sought-after “Team League” play– which will allow folks to create teams and rep their squads with pride–along with a plethora of additional tweaks and fixes to provide a more balanced and seamless experience.

As if you needed anymore incentive to hop in closed beta immediately: you’ll be able to nab some bonus XP while playing the game from now until March 29. I couldn’t think of a better way to end Spring Break!

Majora's mask edition

Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS systems may surface in Gamestops soon.

Didn’t throw enough shopper-elbows to nab yourself one of the limited edition Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS systems? You may not be completely out of luck. A quarter batch of the systems should be appearing in Gamestops all across the United States very soon. Finally, another lead on one of these things that’s not eBay.

This will be taking place at every Gamestop across the country, so if you’re near several of them and have some friends who’ve been trying to get one as well, it may be best to divide and conquer. Let’s just hope that some eBay scalper doesn’t swoop in and grab them before someone who’d really appreciate it gets their hands on it.

That about wraps it for Tuesday’s Gaming Daily. Always keep it parked here on Nerdist for all of the juicy video game developments, and to chat about our beloved medium, I’m only one tweet away: @Malik4play.
