GAMING DAILY: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Easter Egg Found Three Years Later

It’s another great day of releases everybody! We saw the likes of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4 and even LittleBigPlanet 3 (which we reviewed) hit shelves today. In case you’re still reeling from all the video game madness, never fear because we’ve got you covered on some of the news nuggets from the day.  In today’s Gaming Daily, somebody found another easter egg in Batman: Arkham City, Watch Dogs is finally out on the Wii U, reviews are in for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and more!

Calendar Man has a new message for Batman.

“I was there at your beginning, and I’ll be there at your end,” says Calendar Man in a recently discovered Arkham City easter egg. After a mysterious YouTube channel uploaded a short clip entitled “Arkham City Secret” last week, the internet was buzzing because it revealed that Julian Gregory had another secret message for the caped crusader.

Two days of theories later, Batman Arkham Videos managed to crack the code by setting the console/PC date back to December 13th, 2004. Why that date? According to the video, the date coincides with the founding of Rocksteady in December of 2004.

As to what the cryptic statement actually means? People are speculating that the end of the Arkham series is nigh. But who knows. It could mean anything.

Watch Dogs is finally out on the Wii U.

Yep, you heard correctly. What we were beginning to think was a myth has finally come true: owners of Nintendo’s home console will finally be able to get their hands on Ubisoft’s open world hacking title set in Chicago.

The company also confirmed that the Bad Blood DLC will be making it to the Wii U after all. This bit of information is especially interesting considering the fact that they originally said they wouldn’t be releasing it.

Lindsey Stirling released Dragon Age themed music video.

In conjunction with the launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition today, Lindsey Sterling released a very special music video in which she keeps a dragon at bay with her flaming violin and bow. We see Stirling use her magical musical instrument as a sort of shield to reflect the monster’s flames. By her side is another warrior armed with a sword. Together they defeat the beast and claim victory.

The musician who’s known for her choreographed dub-step infused violin performances is no stranger to geek inspired tunes. She’s also done covers of The Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, and Assassin’s Creed to name a few.
