Gaming Daily: Amazon Finalizes Twitch Deal, DESTINY Original Soundtrack Inbound

The weekend has finally arrived, and if you haven’t already picked up a Wii U to hack and slash in Hyrule Warriors, I advise that you do it now! Or if you’re more the reading type, keep your eyes peeled to this page for more bits of gaming news you may have missed today.

It’s official. Amazon now owns Twitch.

Amazon has now completed its $970 acquisition of the live-streaming service, Twitch, after a filing on the Securities and Exchange Commission was spotted today. The deal was made public last month after rumors that internet giant, Google, was in talks to purchase the online service. When that deal fell through, Amazon swooped in and accomplished what Google couldn’t. It’s still unclear as to what Amazon has in store for Twitch, but here’s to hoping we won’t have to purchase Amazon Prime memberships to view gaming streams.

Dance along to the Destiny soundtrack, available now on iTunes.

Destiny‘s original soundtrack is now available on iTunes for your tookus-shaking pleasure. It’s currently discounted for a limited time in celebration of its release. Though you can no longer shoot aimlessly at a wall for a heaping load of loot, you can jam to the game’s soundtrack when you’re not playing the game (which is a ridiculous thought, because everyone knows you’re still very much addicted). The album includes 44 tracks composed by Michael Salvatori, C. Paul Johnson, Martin O’Donnell, and former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.

Dress up your assassin in Assassin’s Creed Unity.

You may be a stealthy killer in Assassin’s Creed Unity, but that doesn’t mean you can’t kill in style. And when they say that clothes make the man, well, Ubisoft really means it. Creative Director Alex Amancio narrates the video above that discusses the new customization system and how it will impact more than your assassin’s aesthetics. Style will now influence your co-op gameplay, with each assassin capable of playing vastly different based on deep customizations.

That’s your Friday round-up of gaming news. Keep us posted on what you’re playing this weekend, and maybe we’ll even join you! If you’d like to keep the chatter going, hit up Gaming Editor Malik Forte on the Twitter: @Malik4Play or myself @LinkSmash.
