Though many of us were incredibly busy working our tails off at New York Comic-Con over the weekend, I spent the weekend plowing through Platinum Games’ beat-em-up Transformers: Devastation. The cel-shaded title was fast, furious, and filled to the brim with nostalgia. Be on the lookout for my full review this week. In the meantime, it’s time to get down to business and talk about some news. In today’s Gaming Daily, Activision releases new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombie Mode, Halo 5 gets a new trailer, Uncharted 4’s DLC might end up being as experimental as The Last of Us: Left Behind, Disney Infinity 3.0: The Force Awakens play set and release date revealed, and fans who watch all videos on Halo 5’s interactive site will be rewarded with a free REQ pack in the game.
Activision releases new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombie Mode.
During San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, Activision and Treyarch dropped the veil on the cooperative multiplayer Zombies mode coming to their upcoming FPS Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Though fighting zombies is nothing new for the series, what they showed off of the 1940’s set “Shadows of Evil” was exciting.
Although we got to see a fair amount of gameplay in the first trailer, the characters themselves–played by Ron Perlman, Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, and Neil McDonough–were a bit of a mystery. But, thanks to the brand new trailer Activision released today (above), we now know a bit more about what makes them all terrible people.
For example, Heather Graham stars as an actress who stabs a man to death with a pair of scissors when she thinks her part in an upcoming film is jeopardized. Jeff Goldblum, on the other hand, plays a character who murdered his wife after she racked up way too much debt. After all four stories are told, the group of sinners get drugged and wake up in a zombie-infested city. The only way to achieve redemption is to fight through the horde.
“Shadows of Evil” will be shipping with all copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which launches on November 6.

New Gameplay trailer released for Halo 5: Guardians
We’re so close to Halo 5: Guardians we can almost taste it! Well, no, not taste it, but you know what I mean. With the game set to launch exclusively on the Xbox One on Tuesday, October 27, Microsoft has amped up their advertisements. After weeks of live-action TV spots, the folks behind the game released a brand new gameplay trailer today, portraying Spartan Locke and his team’s epic hunt for the “traitor” Master Chief. Man, this game is looking good. Check out the trailer above and read our full post (link below) for more details.

Unlock REQ pack in Halo 5: Guardians by watching 10 short videos.
Speaking of Halo 5Â and the advertising Microsoft’s been doing for it, the publisher launched a new promotional deal for those who visit the game’s interactive website–which features five videos each for Master Chief and Spartan Locke’s separate perspectives on what’s going on.
Those who watch all ten videos will earn a REQ Pack for Halo 5 multiplayer. After watching the short clips, I was rewarded with a Vengeance Assault Rifle Skin, which as far as I know, is the prize everyone receives. Seeing as they all run about 10 seconds, getting through them isn’t tough.
Disney Infinity 3.0 The Force Awakens play-set and release date revealed.
Disney Infinity 3.0Â has been our favorite in the series so far, which is mainly due to all of the Star Wars goodies that have released alongside it. The game launched back in August, and has been doing pretty well. To top it all off, Disney Interactive unveiled the Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren figures that’ll be releasing alongside The Force Awakens set–which is set to release the same day as Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens on December 18. Uncharted 4’s DLC might take experimental route, similar to The Last Of US: Left Behind
With a ton of games slated to release this fall/holiday season, it’s still sad to think that we won’t be seeing Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End until next year, on March 18. Then again, the delay is probably a good thing because it gives the talented developer more time to perfect the final chapter of Nathan Drake’s story. Apparently that also includes making the game’s DLC the best it can be.
According to reports around the web, it sounds like Naughty Dog is planning on venturing into unique territory, by creating experimental content for Uncharted 4, similar to what they did with the self-contained adventure Riley and Ellie went on in The Last of Us: Left Behind. The success of the special segments really resonated with fans and proved to be “really encouraging” to the developer, convincing them to do something similar with the final Uncharted game.
In reference to Left Behind, Uncharted 4 writer Josh Sherr said the following to the Official PlayStation Magazine:
“Now that we know whatâs involved in making something that size, hopefully whatever mistakes and mishaps we may have made making Left Behind⦠weâll be able to avoid those and make some brand new ones!â
Oooh, we can’t wait to see what they come up with.
