GAME OF THRONES’ Tormund and the Hound Star in the Best Duet Ever

What exactly did Game of Thrones Snow-icide Squad do all day while they were sitting on that rock waiting to be saved by Daenerys? Did they try to formulate a backup plan? Did they pass the time by sharing old war stories? Or did they whip out a guitar and have a little sing-along? Well they should have, because if it was anywhere near as awesome as this behind-the-scenes duet from Tormund and the Hound, it might have been enough to warm the White Walkers’ icy hearts.

Actor Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane, posted this delightful on-set video (that we first saw at BuzzFeed) on his Instagram account, featuring Sandor Clegane actor Rory McCann playing guitar and singing The Mills Brother’s “Yellow Bird,” while Hivju popped in and out of the shot to sing backup.

Warning: Once you start watching this you might never stop.

That is easily the best scene from this year’s season. We’re not even sure Brienne of Tarth would be immune to the charm of two great hardened warriors singing a delightful little ditty with the enthusiasm of a kindergarten recital.

If you’ve never heard that song before, here’s the original. We think McCann’s version is a lot more fun.

It might have been implausible that so many of Jon’s Magnificent Seven survived the frozen lake of wights, but if that means we get more videos like this from these two it was probably worth it.
