GAME OF THRONES Star Iain Glen Returns for RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER

Director Paul W.S. Anderson’s sixth Resident Evil movie has begun production with another familiar face returning to the franchise. Game of Thrones star Iain Glen has been confirmed to reprise his role as Dr. Sam Isaacs, a scientist working for Umbrella.

Glen originated the part in Resident Evil: Apocalypse and he previously returned for Resident Evil: Extinction, where his character was mutated into a Tyrant and killed off…but that’s never stopped anyone else from coming back in this film series!

Of course, Milla Jovovich will be back for her sixth turn as Alice, the heroine created for the Resident Evil films. Former Heroes star Ali Larter will also be making her third appearance in the franchise as Claire Redfield, while Shawn Roberts also makes his third appearance as Albert Wesker, one of Alice’s primary adversaries turned ally and then back to adversary for the final film.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will take place shortly after Resident Evil: Retribution, as Alice deals with Wesker’s treachery and finds herself once again stripped of her enhanced abilities as she makes her way back to Raccoon City for the ultimate showdown with the Umbrella Corporation.

Also confirmed for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter are Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black) as Abigail, Eoin Macken (The Night Shift) as Doc, Fraser James (Law & Order: UK) as Michael, William Levy as Christian, and Japanese model Rola, as Cobalt.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is scheduled to be released on January 27, 2017, nearly 15 years after the first movie in the series came out.
