GAME OF THRONES Season 7 Will Finally Bring These 2 Characters Together

What is dead may never die, but we don’t feel like getting killed by the internet because we didn’t sufficiently warn about Game of Thrones season seven spoilers. So gather up your things and march north if you don’t want to read them, because there are some giant-sized ones below.

We knew the world would get smaller with the Mother of Dragons finally heading towards Westeros this year, and that would mean certain characters coming together for the first time. But now we have very good reason to believe that a major meet-up will take place in season seven. (Last spoiler warning!)

Jon Snow will come face to face with a queen. Twice. That’s right, according to an interview Uproxx conducted with the show’s costume designer Michele Clato (which we came across via Vanity Fair), Jon will have a powwow with Daenerys somewhere in the south of the Seven Kingdoms. (Dragonstone, maybe, or King’s Landing after she does some conquering?)

In talking about when and where to have Jon wear his giant winter cape in season seven, Clapton said this:

“There are times when we removed it because we wanted him to be more vulnerable. Especially I think, when he saw Dany, and he went to see her for the first time in her chamber. We decided to remove it.”

WELL THEN. We had a feeling Jon was heading south at some point this season after seeing him and Davos in the trailer in what seemed to be much warmer weather, so we’re not surprised by this. What we are surprised by is someone on the show letting such a big spoiler slip by.

But that’s nothing compared to the other news Clapton revealed, about how Jon will also meet the other queen. “When he went to see Cersei, we put [the cape] on.”

WELL WELL THEN THEN. If Daenerys is going to conquer Cersei like we believe, Jon would logically have to meet Cersei beforehand. But does this mean Cersei might survive an attack? Or that she will be spared by the Mother of Dragons?

And if Jon is trying to meet with both of them we would guess it has to do with trying to unite the Seven Kingdoms to fight the White Walkers. But since no one ever believes the White Walkers are real, what might he do to convince them?

Our wild guess: Jon captures a wight and brings one south to literally show both queens the threat they all face. (That could explain why he might feel safe meeting with Cersei at all.) We don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out. Although we would prefer waiting for new episodes to tell us, instead of crew members with loose lips.

What do you make of this news? What might it all mean? Meet with us in the comments below to share your thoughts.
