Hello, Great Houses. Based on some sources from filming locations and rehearsals, Watchers on the Wall reports we’re going to see the strongholds/seats of two of the Great Houses for the first time in season seven. They say we’ll visit both Highgarden, home of the Tyrells, and Casterly Rock, home of the Lannisters. You can’t see my eyes right now but know that they are wide in anticipation. Rock n’ Roll. Eric Calderone takes songs and themes we know and puts a metal spin on them. It’s what he does, and he excels at it. His latest cover? The Westworld theme. The approach totally works on Ramin Djawadi’s music. [Nerdist]
More, More, More. A sequel to Trainspotting is coming our way in spring 2017, but that might not be the last time we see the characters in that world on the screen. Irvine Welsh, the author of the books featuring the Trainspotting gang, told NME other media adaptations of his stories are possible. He said, “Basically, I’ve plans for them all. All in various kind of schedules or adaptations. It’s all ruling on cable TV, cable TV has some interesting developments. We’re working on all these different kind of things.” Hmm. A Setback. ABC has decided not to grant Conviction additional episodes, so season one will remain at 13. They have kept options for the cast, so a second season isn’t completely off the table yet. Ugh. I really want Hayley Atwell to have a super successful TV series. [The Hollywood Reporter]
Back to the Kitchen. Raise your spatula if you watched Good Eats. The series from Alton Brown taught me how to cook back in the day when it ran for 14 seasons on Food Network. Guest Role. 12 Monkeys won’t be the only TV series you’ll see Christopher Lloyd in this season. He’s also going to guest on The Big Bang Theory. He’ll appear in the December 1 episode in what the show’s executive producers are calling “a fun part that fans will really enjoy.” [Variety]
But Who Is He? Remember how Cyborg Superman is going to show up in Supergirl? He’ll be here in the seventh episode of season two, and we don’t know who will be playing him. We do, however, know someone who won’t be playing him: Tyler Hoechlin. Series executive producer Andrew Kreisberg shared that with TVLine. Any ideas about who it will be? [CBR]
Going Red. YouTube Red is launching its first animated series on November 16. Original content, folks—it’s everywhere and it’s glorious. Check out the above first look at Paranormal Action Squad, a series created by top YouTube gaming and animation creators.
Sort of Some Info. Mae Whitman is coming to Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but her role is mysterious. ET got a little information about her guest appearance from Lauren Graham. The biggest takeaway: Whitman shows up “for about 40 seconds” according to Graham. I hope it’s in a scene with Alexis Bledel since both her and Whitman have played Graham’s onscreen kids. [ET Online]
