GAME OF THRONES’ Night King Gets His Own Spotify Playlist

GAME OF THRONES’ Night King Gets His Own Spotify Playlist

When you’ve been busy for thousands of years building up an army of the dead, and you’re finally ready to bring the darkness of a new Long Night to the Seven Kingdoms, you’re going to need some appropriate entrance music to herald your coming. Which is why this news will surely make Game of Thrones‘ Night King smile (or whatever it is White Walkers do to show happiness): he now has his own playlist to crank during his impending invasion.

HBO and Spotify teamed up to give the leader of the blue-eyed killer ice monsters his very own playlist, made up of upbeat and spiritually powerful numbers.

Kidding, it’s mostly made up of death metal songs and tracks about the darkness of life (with some “punny” ones thrown in too). The 27-song, two plus hour album includes the absolutely perfect opening number “Mr. Freeze” by Slayer. And while predictably there are plenty of songs from bands like Megadeath and Metallica, there are even some appearances by bands you might not expect, like The Killers and Muse.

Strangely enough, the one that stands out to us the most is “Dancing on Your Grave” by Motorhead. It’s a great tune, obviously, but the Night King doesn’t dance on graves. He opens them up and creates a new soldier for his army.

Although we doubt anyone will notice when he marches on Westeros. The screams of the living will probably make it hard to hear the music anyway.

What song on here is your favorite? What other tracks should they have included? March past the wall of our comments section and tell us below.
