Secrets, secrets are no fun; Secrets, secrets hurt someone! Only, in the Realm of Game of Thrones, the secrets are often fun — oftentimes especially when they hurt other people. The fourth season of the HBO take on the George R.R. Martin fantasy novel series is inching closer ever still… even if we’re barely patient enough to deal with the wait. And in the latest trailer released on Sunday — titled “Secrets” because of course — the citizens of Westeros are dealing with the fallout from an entire season’s worth of seriously secretive machinations. And nobody’s happy about it.
Secret alliances, dalliances, machinations, procreations, and the like are all at play following season three’s epic finale, with plenty more where that came from in store for the upcoming installment. That’s what happens when the world as you once knew it has been ripped apart at the very seams! Which is likely why this trailer opted for the words of its characters rather than the typically flashy song-and-dance of ice and fire to which we’re more accustomed. No matter though: we’re just hoping April 6th will hurry up and get here already. We’re antsy like Drogon.

I’d be even happier if George RR Martin would get back to writing the books. The show, Awesome as it is, is no substitute for the books. I have this sinking feeling that the HBO series has hi-jacked what might have been, could still yet be, the greatest fantasy series ever written. But if they keep taking nips and tucks in the story lines to make a television show work, what is the ultimate effect on the real series going to be ?
This is the third trailer and I see very little resemblance to the books. Anything can happen from what it appears. This is a whole different animal than Book 3 on. But it will be fun to watch. A little disappointed but excited.

I need to check out the other trailers because I am very interested in whatever is going to happen on the Wall. Arya is the character line I am most interested in followed very closely by Tyrion, of course.

I think I’m more excited about the new season than I was about the birth of my son! I’ve read all the books so far and I can’t wait for everyone who hasn’t yet, to know what I know. I’ll finally be able to talk about it without spoilers!!! Plus who doesn’t love looking at Daenerys #hellomotherofdragons #ladywood
