GAME OF THRONES’ Emilia Clarke and Chewbacca Celebrate a Social Media Milestone

What do you get when Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys Targaryen sets sail to the galaxy far, far away? You get Chewbacca flipping out when Emilia Clarke hits a major milestone on Instagram.

Actor Joonas Suotamo, who is currently filming the young Han Solo film as Chewbacca (after filling in for Peter Mayhew in some of the more physical scenes in The Force Awakens) posted this enticing message on Twitter about something his Star Wars cast member said to him.

Yes, Skrillex is involved in all of this somehow.

It turns out “something cool” was Clarke hitting a whopping 10 million followers on her Instagram account, and what better way to celebrate from the set of Star Wars than by having a giant fuzzball lose his mind like he just lost a game of Dejarik–minus the ripping out of arms that is.

We love how you can be the Mother of Dragons, be a leads on the most popular show in the world, be working on an all new movie in arguably the most beloved film franchise of all time, and still need permission from Lucasfilm to post a goofy video of Chewbacca.

And of course this has us thinking about what it would be like if Chewbacca came to Westeros. He’d make for an imposing Commander of Daenerys’s Queensguard, but considering his natural coat we think he’d best serve the realm fighting the White Walkers in the north. He’s already used to the cold from Hoth.

But hey, Joonas Suotamo is almost seven feet tall, and we know the Night King has recently recruited some giant wights. Maybe there’s a place for him on Game of Thrones next season. And if he ever gets cast by HBO we expect a video of Daenerys Targaryen celebrating.

Which Star Wars character would fit in best in Westeros? Tell us your best suggestion in the comments below.
