Don’t Take Dating Advice from GAME OF THRONES’ Jaime Lannister

Did you know that Game of Thrones character Jaime Lannister is on Tinder? Because I did not know this and, frankly, I have a lot of questions and 99% of them do not reflect positively on the prince of Casterly Rock. Why, Jaime?! Why?! According to the IRL iteration of our golden-stumped sisterlover—played by actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau—Jaime likes to peruse Tinder but he “always swipes left” and frankly I find it rude and inconsiderate for him to be taking up space where he doesn’t belong and being a general part of the problem that is dating/Tinder in general.

YEAH I SAID IT. AND I’M GOING TO SAY MORE, TOO.

In a new video and interview from GQ, the perhaps worst person to ever give advice about dating does exactly that. Call it a hot take if you must but there’s something off about getting tips about true love and healthy relationships and how to achieve them from a dude who has sex with own his twin sister. A dude who’s also, very clearly, in love with a badass named Brienne of Tarth that he refuses to see as an actual woman because she’s not conventionally beautiful and it wouldn’t be a good luck for his family. HIS INCESTUAL MONSTER FAMILY OBSESSED WITH MONEY AND POWER AND MURDERING PEOPLE EN MASSE WITH GLEE. TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY THAT IS MOSTLY DEAD NOW THANKS TO HIS BATSHIT CRAZY SISTER.

We should not be okay with this, regardless of how accurate his tailoring-suits-for-severed-hands tips are (always hem to the end of the stump)! I’m sorry but we cannot let this stand. Jaime Lannister, you are an embodiment of the problem and I, for one, am not here for it.

But what do you think of the video? Let us know in the comments below.
