GAME OF THRONES Coloring Book Will Probably Require Lots of Red Crayons

Valar drawhaeris–All men must stay within the lines.

Sick and tired of your friend that whines about how the Targaryens don’t have purple eyes on the show, or how Daario Naharis doesn’t have a dyed-beard like he has in the books? Well, since they obviously want to make everything they want they want it, this might be the perfect gift for them: an official Game of Thrones coloring book.

The book, from Penguin Random House, features 45 exclusive drawings based on George R.R. Martin‘s book series A Song of Ice and Fire, and HBO‘s Game of Thrones, and include sigils, locations, and characters. The drawings appear to be intricate enough that coloring them in properly will be no small feat, but you will finally be able to give Tyrion his mismatched eyes, Daenerys her silver-blonde hair, and Jamie and Cersei their green eyes. You’ll probably need a couple of extra black crayons for anything at The Wall though.

If you aren’t interested in coloring them in, this looks like it might be a book worth having just for the black-and-white images themselves, with art from experienced fantasy illustrators John Howe, Levi Pinfold, Adam Stower, Yvonne Gilbert, and Tomislav Tomic.

The coloring book goes on sale this month, October 27th. Hopefully George R.R. Martin isn’t interested in coloring them himself so he can focus on getting another book released soon.
