Full-Sized, Roadworthy Little Tikes Car Can Now Be Yours

Raise your hand if you drove one of these around when you were a kid:

Little-Tike

Now keep your hand up if you still wish you could because you will forever be jealous of kids’ toys. I know I am not alone. The good news is you now can get behind the wheel of one of these classic Little Tikes cars even if you are a “grown-up,” because the brothers who created an adult-sized one that is completely roadworthy have put it up for sale on eBay.

This gas-engined car can get up to 70-mph, and it looks just like the one you had as a child, minus the part where you have to use your feet to get around. Made by John and Geoff Bitmead, its authenticity includes not having windows, so maybe splurge for a pair of goggles if you are willing to ante up the 21,500 pound listing price (33,200 U.S. dollars).

The car, finished in November of 2013, took one thousand hours to make and cost four thousand pounds, and after driving it for roughly five thousand miles to help raise money for charity, they decided it was time to let it go. If you want to buy it though they encourage you to make sure it meets the specifications for where you live.

Oh, and it’s a manual, which I guess technically makes it more authentic.

It might not look like the safest car to take out on the highway, but man it does look like a lot of fun.

What childhood toy would you love to get an adult-sized version of? Get out your crayons and colored pencils and let us know in the comments.
