It’s not a common occurrence to stroll past a life-sized Rebel fighter while trying to find your departure gate…unless you’re passing through Singapore’s Changi airport soon. Yep, an X-wing from Star Wars has landed in Terminal 3, no joke. It appears to be camping out there, which is pretty great news for fans of the galaxy far, far away.
Word on the street is that you can obtain a special ticket (until January 5) to climb inside and have your Christmas card photos taken, too. A few Stormtroopers found their way into the airport as well, and can be seen protecting a scale model of a TIE fighter. Not quite as awesome, but damn cool.

Hey, some rebel fighters found their way inside! For such a major airport, you’d think security would have been on top of that. We’re not complaining, though.Â

Alright, all jokes aside. These displays are of course promoting J.J. Abrams‘ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, not that it needs any promoting because every human in our galaxy is going to see the film regardless, right? December 18 is the day, people.
Star Wars enthusiasts, did you see these displays in Singapore? Reach out to me on Twitter, or make a comment below.
