FULL HOUSE Opening Recreated in GRAND THEFT AUTO V

Whatever happened to predictability? Well, in Los Santos, predictability is a rarer occurrence than UFOs. It seems one gamer, named Merfish, thinks the world of Grand Theft Auto could do with some more classic ‘90s charm. Merfish has decided to bring the family-friendly wholesomeness of the ‘90s sitcom Full House to the mean and unforgiving streets of Los Santos. The video he created takes the main cast of the latest Rockstar venture, and uses them to recreate the opening credit sequence from the wildly popular TV show. Of course you can only manipulate so much in-game for Grand Theft Auto before everything just descends into chaos. Luckily, these bits of ridiculousness add a real flair to the already rather ridiculous concept.

With such greats bit of humor as having Lester The Molester in the role of Michelle Tanner, keeping the take that sees Lester fall out of the car half way across the bridge, and the chaotic murder that is the train pulling into the station make for a surreal irony when listening to the theme song for Full House. Merfish also offers a side-by-side comparison video to the original opening credit sequences, and it must have been some hard-spent hours to be matching the angles, editing, and even just finding in-game locations to use for this video. In the end though, it was all worth it. What this has given me though, is a desire to see a GTA game starring John Stamos…sadly that seems to have already started.

For the sake of comparison, here’s the original. Eerily similar.
