Free Gmail Calls Extended Through End Of 2011

Oh, yeah, by the way, Google is extending Gmail’s free computer-to-phone calling throughout 2011.  So you — and by “you,” I mean Gmail users in the U.S. only — can call anyone — and by “anyone,” I mean people with phone numbers in the U.S. and Canada — for free through Gmail until at least the end of next year.

Free is good, of course.  And if you’re on a budget or don’t have a land-line or want to save your cell phone minutes, it’s hard to beat free.

THANK YOU! Not to be ungrateful, however, I had always thought it was forever! I hope you do make it permanent within North America. 🙂 I don’t want to see a bait and switch here.

  4. This is really great plan sir

    Thank you

  5. Billiam says:

How can people call “you” back? as in how can other people contact you if you do not have cell phone access, or a land line. Great for putting out phone calls, but what about incoming calls?

  6. Curtis says:

Nope, works everywhere in Canada. 🙂 It’s a fantastic service.

  7. Candice says:

Wasn’t it only Alberta it worked in? By accident? Anyway, it definitely works to CALL Canada. I haven’t had to pay long distance to call my family in Canada ever since Google Voice was available for my first Android phone. This is very good news for me.
