As promised, Dragon Age: Inquisition got some brand new DLC packs today, and boy do they look cool. The two expansions are available for download on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PS3, completely free of charge. It definitely looks like they’ll be enough to keep you entertained until the Jaws of Hakkon DLC releases on May 26.
While we already knew the content was coming, Bioware released a trailer for the Dragonslayer Multiplayer Expansion, along with its launch date. As you’ll see in the video above, this particular expansion adds death-defying dragon battles to the multiplayer dungeon, as well as unique maps and three new playable characters.
The characters you’ll be able to get your hands on in this expansion are: an Avvar Skywatcher, a Virtuoso with deadly music, and the Raider Queen of the Eastern Seas herself. I, for one, am most looking forward to killing opposing dragons softly with the power of rock n’ roll. It’s also interesting to see that they’ve brought back Isabela–a beloved character from Dragon Age 2–in this capacity. It would have been nice if she was incorporated into the actual story more.
As for the second expansion, The Black Emporium adds four high level stores to the game, allowing you to customize your Inquisition even more. The stores will sell brand new weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials, and schematics. Also, if you’re unhappy with how your player looks, or are just looking for a refreshing change after putting hundreds of hours in, you’ll be able to change your Inquisitor’s appearance with an item called the Mirror of Transformation, which is accessible through the war table.
