It’s hard to believe that we basically have a real-life analog to Tony Stark in today’s world. Engineer, inventor, businessman and all-around super genius, Elon Musk has done some amazing stuff in his lifetime. While space programs around the world have lost funding, Musk stepped in with SpaceX and has supplemented – if not completely replaced – the R&D on space travel. Recently his private aerospace company successfully launched and then landed their Falcon 9 rocket back on terra firma. This is incredible news as reusable rockets would make future of space travel insanely more affordable and someday attainable for anyone who wants to go.
Although, we have to admit, the fact there’s a genius super scientist who owns his own aerospace company sounds a bit more along the lines of the behavior of a super villain than it does a hero. Fox’s ADHD certainly noticed this and delivers with a rather beautiful song about what Musk might be planning.
In a surprisingly tame video compared to the usual NSFW stuff Animation Domination High-Def puts out (we’re looking at you, Scientifically Accurate Ducktales), the song tells of Musk’s rough upbringing and the events in his life that may explain his perseverance. He was bullied so badly that one such instance resulted in him being thrown down a concrete staircase that – not surprisingly – landed him in the hospital. He’s cited these events as seminal to the man he is today.
There are other ways to learn resilience but what Musk went through might take the cake. ADHD explores the idea that Musk has been playing out an incredibly long and elaborate revenge plot against the bullies of his formative years where he’ll have the last laugh from the surface of Mars.
