THE FLASH and SUPERGIRL Unite in Grant Gustin’s Photos from the Crossover Set

During The Flash‘s recent trip to Earth-2, a universe-hopping Barry Allen saw all sorts of faces in the stream. One of those faces belonged to Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl—fitting, considering an official crossover between The CW’s The Flash and CBS’ Supergirl is happening. As both series have similar lighthearted, fun tones, and (more importantly) are both produced by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, it’s only natural that they’d cross paths eventually. But Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist together as superheroes on the screen? The world isn’t even ready. The episode has started filming, and you can see proof of the cuteness ahead with Gustin’s photo of him and Benoist on set:

I think that guy in the background is totally a metahuman.

I don’t know if I should be shipping Barry Allen and Kara Danvers but I so am. Gustin ‘grammed about making the trip to Los Angeles from Vancouver on Tuesday. As the speedster lamented on Twitter, it’s a bit warmer here. Poor guy. It’s hotter in the city than it has been in weeks. Like, 80+ degrees.

The scorching sun didn’t stop him from sharing pics taken by himself and Supergirl executive producer Ali Adler. Here’s his apparently fancy chair:

Hey Flash producers… I’ve already got a fancier chair on Supergirl than I’ve got on Flash. Just saying…

Gustin sitting a chair that is not his:

Jusssst gonna document the whole experience. Not excited at all. #Supergirl

And Gustin in all his sunlit glory:

If we’re lucky, Gustin will continue to document the momentous occasion.

Barry Allen will drop by National City on March 28 in the Supergirl episode called “World’s Finest.”
