âGosh it feels good to be back.â
Those are the words of D.J. Tanner in the first teaser trailer for Netflix‘s Fuller House, the reboot of the beloved ABC sitcom.
While we get some clues about both returning family members as well as new additions to the Tanner clan, this trailer is really designed to pull at your heart, to remind you that this full house was a place of love. Instead of the classic theme song we get Miranda Lambertâs beautiful song âThe House That Built Meâ, a fitting choice.
We donât actually get to see any of the cast, except a young dog that looks an awful lot like Comet. This short teaser is full of shots of San Francisco, just like the original opening credits, with the Golden Gate Bridge, a trolley car, the âPainted Ladies,â and of course the front of the Tanner house. We are greeted by empty shots of the kitchen and living room before we hear the voices of the returning family.
In addition to D.J. some of the voices we hear include Stephanie, Uncle Jesse, Joey, Danny, and Kimmy as they prepare to open the door to the new/old house.
The new show will begin just as Full House did, when the recently widowed Danny Tanner asked his two friends to help him raise his three young girls.
âIn Fuller House, the adventures that began in 1987 on Full House continue, with veterinarian D.J. pregnant and recently widowed, living in San Francisco. D.J.âs younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner and D.J.âs lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler, along with Kimmyâs feisty teenage daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.âs two boys â the rebellious 12-year-old J.D. and neurotic 7-year-old Max â and her soon-to-arrive baby.â
âLife is full againâ on February 26, when all episode of Fuller House will be available on Netflix.
