We teased the tease yesterday, and today we make good. The first teaser trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is here, courtesy of iTunes and in your face. Now we can all… Marvel… at the majesty that will be directors Anthony and Joe Russo’s superhero spy thriller where Cap is suddenly at odds with both demons from his past and S.H.I.E.L.D. Not to mention Black Widow’s shifting allegiances and continually differing hairstyles.
This trailer shows us a movie far darker than the first Captain America movie, with far more emphasis on secrets and clandestine activities, which contrast with Steve Roger’s wholesome and forthright view of the world. Will Cap be able to overcome his greatest challenge yet? We’ll find out when Captain America: The Winter Soldier bashes its way into theaters April 4, 2014.

Wow. Massive kudos to whoever put that trailer together. I hope the movie lives up to it, but I’m in either way.

OMG! This looks so EFFING AWESOME! I don’t have the words. I am in.
They’re making some bold-ass director choices and I love it. It’s one of those things where even if the Russos’ skills are tested by a huge action movie, and even if they don’t quite rise to that task the way Whedon or Favreau did, it’s still guaranteed to be an interesting take with a very low chance of cringe-worthy content.
I can’t wait to see this
