First Look at IDW’s STREET FIGHTER-G.I. JOE Comic Crossover

At San Diego Comic-Con International, IDW announced a comic book crossover between Hasbro’s G.I. Joe and Capcom’s Street Fighter. Now the details of the project have finally emerged.

Street Fighter X G.I. Joe will be a six-issue miniseries beginning in February 2016 that finds Destro and Cobra teaming up with M. Bison and Shadaloo for a new plan to take over the world. In response, the heroes of Street Fighter and G.I. Joe will be drawn into a tournament and forced to face each other before they can take down their common enemies.

Writer Aubrey Sitterson and artist Emilio Laiso will be the creative team of Street Fighter X G.I. Joe. Sitterson is primarily known for his comics Worth and King Maul, as well as his popular wrestling podcast, Straight Shoot. Laiso’s previous credits include Hack/Slash: Son of Samhain for Image Comics.
