THE PUNISHER Series Adds a Bunch of New Characters, Plus More TV News

Tuesday was a special day because we all got to return to the little town of Stars Hollow. Netflix dropped the first trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and it was everything this fan wanted. See the trailer in today’s TV-Cap, as well as an alternate scene from The Walking Dead premiere, a Supergirl promo showing off Miss Martian, and more.

Tater Tots and Tacos. The Gilmore Girls are back, and my heart couldn’t be happier. Rory is wandering, Emily is applying the KonMari method to her belongings, and Lorelai is feeling lost. And hey, everyone from Kirk to Logan to Lane is in the trailer for at least a beat. Everything feels just right. I can’t wait until November 25. [Nerdist]

Casting Galore. With filming for The Punisher currently underway, casting additions are surfacing. Marvel recently announced Daniel Webber, Jason R. Moore, Paul Schulze, Jaime Ray Newman, and Michael Nathanson are all coming to the Netflix series. Head right this way to learn about who they’ll be playing.

The Last Hurrah. BBC America has confirmed casting for the upcoming final season of Orphan Black. Basically, everyone you love is back—all the stars and also folks like James Frain, Evelyne Brochu, and Calwyn Shurgold. BBC America also took to Facebook Live Tuesday to share the filming of a scene with Helena. You can watch it above.

Power Combo. Greg Berlanti Productions isn’t stopping with their current stable of shows. Nope, they’re teaming with The 100 creator Jason Rothenberg for a new drama called Searchers. Rothenberg is penning the story “about a group of unlikely heroes who find themselves on the journey of a lifetime.” The CW has bought the action-adventure; we’ll keep you updated on further developments. [Deadline]

Angel Rivalry. Someone from Castiel’s past will be coming to season 12 of Supernatural, and she’ll be played by Alicia Witt. Her character, Lily Sunder, will appear in a single episode. [TVLine]

Spin the Wheel. The next installment of Supergirl will feature the introduction of Roulette and an alien fight club–you can get a glimpse of Miss Martian in the ring. Watch the above promo and tell me who you’re placing your bets on. [CBR]

Willow Everywhere. Clarke drops a lot of Willow references into her interviews, and she recently had the opportunity to talk to director Ron Howard about his modern classic. He talks about what he learned and hopes for returning to the world of Willow, but maybe as a TV series. [Nerdist]

Alternate Versions. To deter spoilers, multiple versions of the pivotal scene from The Walking Dead premiere were shot. Producers wanted to keep it a secret. Now that the premiere’s out of the way, someone has put one of the alternate takes on YouTube. It’s not the highest quality, but you can see it’s just as brutal. You can watch it here (and duh, spoilers). [Deadline]

Turn Back the Clock. Did you settle in last for some quality television time? We did, too. Read our recaps of The Flash, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Channel Zero: Candle Cove.
