FINDING DORY’s Cast and Crew Discuss Stuff They Forget

About, I’m gonna say, six times a week I forget where I left my keys. I walk in with them, set them down somewhere, and then can’t for the life of me remember where they are. I even have a nail by the front door specifically to hang my keys and I can’t remember to put them there. You can probably relate to this, and in some way we’re all a little bit like Dory, the fun-loving fish from Disney-Pixar‘s Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, and our own Amy Ratcliffe asked the cast and crew of her latest outing what they forget, and lots more.

Ellen Degeneres returns to voice Dory, the delightful regal blue tang (it’s the kind of fish she is, guys), and she’s joined by comedic titans Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, and Kaitlin Olson. We also spoke to director Andrew Stanton and producer Lindsay Collins. The number-one thing everybody can’t remember: people’s names. Faces remain forever, but names will go bye-bye. Burrell, can’t remember where he parked his car, though, which is far more troubling, especially if it’s parked right outside.

Stanton and Collins also discussed the difficulty in turning Dory–the sidekick from Finding Nemo–into the star of her own film, and the whole bunch said they think the character from this movie who most deserves a spinoff is Hank, the octopus played by O’Neill. And if Degeneres has her way, that’s exactly what’ll happen, in another 13 years, perhaps.

I for one can’t wait to see the movie and am going to make reservations now… Wait, where did I put my phone? Aaaarrrrrgggh. What a day!

Let us know what you most forget in the comments below! Finding Dory is in theaters now.
