Find Out Why Kevin Hart is Putting Hands on Dave Franco in the MADDEN 15 Trailer

Someone might have gone a little nuts when preparing the new trailer for EA’s Madden 15. Instead of presenting fans with footage from the latest entry in the long-running sports-ball franchise, EA went ahead and commissioned a trap track with Dave Franco and Kevin Hart that starts with a slap and ends with fire.

It’s full of all sorts of little surprises and cameos from football-types (I’m not that kind of nerd! Sorry!), but it’s also just a pitch-perfect piece of comedy. Watch it so I can go on about how funny it is. Don’t worry, I’ll be here.

Alright, so that was pretty terrific, right? Neighbors star Franco makes a pretty good straight man to Hart’s Madden-obsessed friend, and I just love the latter’s commitment to his part, constantly goading Franco with violence and fire until he finally gets him on the couch in front of the game.

Speaking of which, I like EA’s strategy with the game footage which is kind of minimal. That’s a weird thing to say, but for the most part, you know what a Madden game is going to look like, even if you haven’t played Madden in a decade. Instead, the publisher used two charismatic and funny guys to sell you the experience of the on-the-couch rivalry: the whole reason you’re playing Madden in the first place.

Franco will be in next year’s Now You See Me 2, while you can catch Hart in The Wedding Ringer.

The EA Tiburon-developed Madden 15 will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 on August 26.
