It may be over, but that hasnât stopped the television gods from granting us more Futurama over the last year and a half. Whether at conventions or in a crossover with the longest-running sitcom in history, the loyalty of Futuramaâs audience is second to none, and to prove it, one of its biggest fans brought some of its characters to life, and our buddies over at Tested were on hand to bring his creation to the masses.
At a live Tested show at the Bay Area Science Festival in San Francisco last month, Face/Offâs Frank Ippolito decided it was time to bring Professor Farnsworth into the world of reality. While it may sound like an insane proposition, weâre quick to remind you the man already did the same with a Zoidberg mask that made its way around various conventions this year. However, unlike his crustacean creation, Ippolito took things one step further for the elderly professor of mad science.
This is a fascinating process, and one we could have never truly appreciated without this video. The level of reference and resource it takes to translate a cartoon character into a lifelike form is insane, and something we have far more appreciation for now.
