The “crossover event” has become an annual tradition of sorts with the CW’s two flagship DC Comics shows The Flash and Arrow, and are among both show’s most popular episodes each season. But will the crossover goodness extend to the CW’s third show, the highly anticipated DC’s Legends of Tomorrow? According to executive producer Greg Berlanti, it won’t happen quite as much, or as overtly as the two previous shows, but it will still happen
At this weekend’s TCA press tour, Berlanti said of crossovers that âItâs intermittent throughout. Because theyâre a band of time traveling rogues, itâs harder for Arrow and Flash to be connected story wise to it throughout the season. That being said, if you know the histories of Arrow and Flash, it should be extra fun in its own way as we delve deeper and deeper into the characters lives.â
While it seems that the main storyline of Legends of Tomorrow won’t bleed into the ongoing arcs of either The Flash or Arrow this season, major characters from both series are still scheduled to appear. The Flashâs Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) a.k.a. Vibe, Arrowâs Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Raâs al Ghul (Matt Nable) are all confrimed to show up on Legends, while executive producer Phil Klemmer told the folks at EW that there is also a â100 percent chanceâ that older and/or younger versions of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen will appear.
DCâs Legends of Tomorrow stars Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory, Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/Firestorm), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson/Firestorm), Ciara Renée (Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl), and Falk Hentschel (Carter Hall/Hawkman). Legends debuts on  Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
