Fantastic Fest Day 3: Shotguns, Markets, and Occult Marching Bands

When not feasting one’s eyes on all of cinematic wonderment available at a particular film festival, part of the fun of attending is getting to partake in some local flavor. There isn’t a city with more local flavor (of many different kinds) than Fantastic Fest‘s home of Austin, TX, where between flicks, patrons can enjoy some world famous barbecue, perhaps a little live music, and, if you’re Nerdist’s own Clarke Wolfe, get to shoot a shotgun with the Fest’s founder, Tim League.

On Day 3 of the fest, when not getting an arm workout from a bit of skeet shooting, Clarke spoke to an indie filmmaker about his experience with the Fantastic Fest Film Market, where films are bought and sold for distribution, as well as enjoy the stylings of Itchy-O, an “occult marching band.” Of course! Where else would you see and hear such a thing?

Check back every day during Fantastic Fest for more of Clarke’s adventures, and be sure to click below for what you may have missed so far.
