Fan Creates LEGO Godzilla Helmet to Become King of the Monsters

For over 60 years, Godzilla has been the King of the Monsters and a fan-favorite kaiju. Godzilla is a classic enough creation to have inspired all sorts of imaginative homages. One fan appears to have found a way to use LEGO to capture their love for Godzilla. Via Kotaku, we found out about this endeavor by Twitter user Guilsogue, who posted our favorite image of a day: a Godzilla helmet made up entirely of LEGO bricks.

According to the translated text of the tweet, this is based upon Godzilla’s fourth form from Shin Godzilla, the newest film in the series that debuted in Japan earlier this year. It’s hard to tell if the jaws actually open, but that is an impressive display of LEGO-building skill nonetheless. The only thing that would make it even better is if it could utter the classic Godzilla roar. So long as you’re careful not to bump into anything, this mask could serve you well at a movie monster-themed costume party.

Honestly, we wouldn’t have imagined that Godzilla would fit so well into the LEGO-verse, but now that it has, we’d love to see Toho strike a deal to bring Godzilla into the LEGO: Dimensions video game franchise. Or perhaps even a LEGO Godzilla movie! Because really, what could be better than that?

What did you think about the LEGO Godzilla helmet? And which Godzilla characters would you like to see get the LEGO treatment? Unleash your atomic fury in the comment section below!
