If you were anywhere near the Internet yesterday, you heard about or saw Sphero’s new BB-8 toy. Their take on the ball droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens is app-enabled and will race around in the most adorable ways. It makes noises, responds to voice commands, and it gets along with puppies. Proof:

Since the astromech droid is on many of our minds, it seemed like the perfect time to highlight the character in Fan Art Friday. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what kind of personality BB-8 has and what role he’ll play in the movie. Will he be best friends with R2-D2?
