Fan Art Friday #22 – Matt Kaufenberg

Comic books are many things, but they’re not always adorable. Well, superhero titles usually aren’t. Unless it’s a title geared towards children or a variant cover, comic books don’t have endless “Awww!” moments. And I’m not saying they should, but I do like to see heroes and villains differently and Matt Kaufenberg’s art fulfills my need to see precious versions of Marvel characters. His illustrations remind me of Funko’s Pop! figures. I couldn’t stop flipping through his Instagram gallery to see his interpretations of Kingpin, Squirrel Girl, Falcon, and more. Look:

And that’s just a small sample of his art!

If you need a regular injection of cute in your life, you can follow Kaufenberg’s work on Tumblr, Instagram, and/or Twitter. Which character in this itty bitty heroes series is your favorite?
