Eat Like a Vault Dweller with the New FALLOUT Cookbook

The world of Bethesda’s Fallout games is wide and incredibly immersive, and it’s easy to lose hours exploring, questing, crafting, and fighting all of the crazy creatures found in the Wasteland. And while the adventuring is fun, have you ever stopped and wondered, while you watch your character enjoy a delicious, grilled radstag or a stingwing filet, what it would be like to eat like a Wastelander?

Happily, you don’t have to wonder anymore! As Geekologie reports, we’re getting an officially licensed cookbook called Fallout: The Vault Dweller’s Official Cookbook by Victoria Rosenthal, which will let you make some of the Wasteland’s most famous delicacies in the privacy of your own home… without the worry of taking any of those pesky rads.

With over 75 recipes of Fallout-inspired appetizers, soups, sides, main dishes, and desserts, you’ll be able to make Wasteland delicacies easily. Whether you want to whip up your very own Nuka-Cola float, some warm tato soup, or even chow down on some heartier options like braised Deathclaw steak, this cookbook has you covered.

Seriously, with this new cookbook, you’re going to be able to throw the absolute best release party for Fallout 76.

And don’t worry, if you’re not leveled up enough to fight a Deathclaw or you’ve got friends with dietary restrictions (mirelurk allergies can be such a challenge to work around for Wasteland potlucks), each recipe lets you know which non-Wasteland creature the recipe is based on (like exchanging Deathclaw for pork belly) so you know exactly what you’re cooking and eating.

You can get your hands on your very own copy of the cookbook when it releases on October 23, 2018, for about 35 caps. Fallout: The Vault Dweller’s Official Cookbook is currently available for pre-order, so you can snag a copy for yourself today.

What recipe are you dying to try from the Fallout cookbook? Is there something from the games that didn’t make it into the cookbook that you’d like to try to adapt to real life? Let’s talk Wasteland food in the comments!
