FALLOUT 4 Fan Performs the Game’s Theme on an Accordion

Fans always find fascinating ways to show their love and excitement about various games and franchises. Whether it be through art, music, cosplay, or whatever else one might do, gaming fans are some of the most innovative and dedicated people you’ll can come across. Seeing a video such as this Fallout 4 cover by Jackson Parodi is not uncommon, but is made all the more interesting by its subject matter. Sure, plenty of people have found ways to use music to pay homage to their geeky fandom, but I cannot think of one I have seen that does so with the same instrument that made Urkel more annoying than he already was to the Winslows.

Parodi’s YouTube channel is filled with videos of various accordion covers from video games and popular songs. Yes, he even has a cover of a Nickelback song, which just proves the point that even an accordion playing Nickelback is far more enjoyable to listen to than Nickelback. Jackson’s cover of the Fallout 4 theme is pulled from the announcement trailer that took the internet by storm over three months ago. While I am no expert on the subject of playing the accordion, I do realize that there is no way Parodi could have found some sort of sheet music for this song, especially one meant for the accordion. That means Parodi would have had to completely transcribe the music himself, by ear, by watching the trailer over and over. I wonder how many of the near 17 million views on Bethesda’s YouTube page are his.
