Just a few days after one image of a dress broke our collective brain, another has gone viral for breaking our collective bulls*** meter — is that really a weasel riding a woodpecker like Gandalf riding an eagle!?
As I explain in the video below, while this now viral image taken by Martin Le-May looks both unbelievably cute and unbelievable, there is actually something very real and rather sinister going on here:
At least the woodpecker lives on to take flight another day. I mean, that image wasn’t exactly the face of fun…

Em… The photographer himself said the weasel was trying to eat the woodpecker. The article on Slate mentioned the fact that the woodpecker was trying to get away from the weasel when it took flight. So, not exactly breaking news Nerdist.
