EXCLUSIVE: Things are Lookin’ Mighty Rocky in ATLANTIS’ Second Season Premiere

After a finale that left fans of Atlantis on the edge (literally), the supernatural drama is back for more in season two. But it looks like Jason’s life is still is serious peril despite the revelations that came in the finale, and, well, that life is in questionable condition given the goings-on in this exclusive clip from Saturday’s brand new episode.

After we learned that — major spoilers, folks! — Queen Pasiphae, wife of King Minos, was Jason’s real mother (I know), there’s little time lost where season two picks up. Jason is still knocked unconscious (and seriously wounded), and it’s up to Hercules and Pythagoras to save the day and our hero as they search for a safe place to keep our incapacitated hero. With the army hot on their tail, inventive measures are taken to secure their safety, but that doesn’t mean everything is fine and nothing more complicated happens. Oh no, no, no. Things couldn’t possibly be that easy when there’s as much magic and mystery involved as there is on Atlantis.

After all, this is the story of a man from modern-day Britain who falls back through time to the days of the lost kingdom of Atlantis — forced to deal with near-daily encounters with monsters, smite-happy gods and demigods, and the very real origins of the myths and legends previously thought of as lore — only to find out that he’s actually, maybe a part of this world and not the modern one from whence he came. To say nothing of that pesky and all-knowing Oracle who seems to think all of this is just as it should be and totally not weird. Confused and/or intrigued enough, yet?

Atlantis‘ second season premieres THIS Saturday, November 15th at 9PM on BBC America.
