EXCLUSIVE: Take a Trip to PYONGYANG with BLUR (in Song)

Your nineties icons are back again: Blur just can’t seem to quit releasing new stuff this week, can they? Our favorite British rock band boys have given us the gift of more live footage from their concert at New York City’s Music Hall of Williamsburg (in scenic Williamsburg, Brooklyn). After Tuesday’s premiere of “Song 2” and “Ghost Ship,” we thought we’d seen the end of this veritable aural bounty — but no! Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree have continued their digital onslaught with a few more tunes — “Go Out,” “Lonesome Street,” “New World Towers,” and “Trouble in the Message Centre” — and we’ve got the premiere of their latest, “Pyongyang,” exclusively right here. Plus a sweet lil live rendition of “Beetlebum.”

Who loves ya, my babies? Blur and The Nerdist. Duh.

Celebrating the release of their first studio album in 12 years (since 2003’s Think Tank), The Magic Whip, the boys took to MHOW in order to usher out the album for all the world to see, going so far as the record the whole thing for our enjoyment. Because, really when you think about it, isn’t it their responsibility to go big like this? After all, until this epic night came and went, Blur hadn’t performed in the states for over 15 years. That’s nearly two decades!

Thankfully those days are behind us and in this brave new world of new Blur tracks, we live with the quiet comfort of being able to blast this rendition of “Song 2” whenever we want.

What do you think of the new Blur tracks? Let us hear it in the comments.
