How many times have aliens tried to invade us in movies? It has to be up in the hundreds of films by now, if not thousands, and still the ingenuity and perseverance of the Planet Earth (coupled with the fact that we’re the ones making the movies which are wholly fictional) have won out and we remain victorious. But, what if an invading alien force wasn’t content to just pack it up when the going gets rough? What if some of the invaders refuse to leave? What do we do then? That’s the premise behind the new film Alien Outpost, directed by Game of Thrones visual effects coordinator Jabbar Raisani, opening January 30. Some aliens, and very hostile ones too, decide they don’t want to surrender quietly, and the planet still needs protecting. A documentary crew travels to the toughest base on the planet to see what happens.
