Exclusive: Seven More Stars Announced for Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion’s Web Series CON MAN!

If you like things that are completely friggin’ awesome then there’s a good chance you’re a fan of at least one of the seven (!) new actors who are joining the mega-talented Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion’s Con Man. We recently showcased the first teaser for the Indiegogo-funded web series, a satirical look at the science-fiction convention scene. It features Tudyk as actor Wray Nerely, best known for playing the pilot in a fictional TV series Spectrum, co-starring Fillion’s Jack Moore (the only member of the cast to become an A-lister) as Nerely’s captain. Tudyk, who’s also writing and directing, and Fillion, who’s also producing, based the series on their own experiences in the wake of their fondly remembered Firefly‘s cancellation. And they got a TON of their friends and colleagues to join the project, including fellow Firefly stars Sean Maher and Gina Torres, other Whedonverse alumni like Seth Green, Felicia Day, and Amy Acker, and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.

Now, we’ve received word that Con Man has enlisted the services of Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer and Michael Trucco, The Walking Dead‘s Emily Kinney, Terminator 2: Judgement Day‘s Robert Patrick, Austin PowersMindy Sterling, Uncharted‘s Nolan North, and Supernatural‘s Samantha Smith!

That’s a healthy helping of talent. And it’s not even the full official cast list — it’s just what Fillion and Tudyk can announce at this time. They’ve basically assembled a dream team of beloved sci-fi actors for this web series, and we can’t wait to see what else is up their sleeves in the weeks to come.

Here’s their latest video, in which they explain, in their own inimitable fashion, what fans can expect when they contribute to Con Man on Indiegogo.
