Exclusive: Run For Your Life with THE MAZE RUNNER Digital Comic

One of the surprise films, for me, this year was Wes Ball’s The Maze Runner based on the first in James Dashner’s post-apocalyptic, sci-fi-meets-Lord of the Flies series of novels. I was incredibly impressed by the way the film was able to take the uninitiated audience member (like myself) and immerse them into the world of amnesiacs waking up in a strange glade surrounded by giant walls that open up into a maze that has monsters in it. When we meet the hero, Thomas, the people in the Glade have already been there for a long while, but surely they have stories of their own worth knowing.

Luckily, curious folks like me won’t have to just wonder about these as there will be a Maze Runner digital prequel comic available for people who buy the film on iTunes and Blu-ray. The 24 page book, created by BOOM! Studios and written by Wes Ball and co-writer T.S. Nowlin, will feature two stories. The first follows Alby, the first boy in the Glade, and George, one of the early Gladers stung by the spider-like Grievers. The second story (which has never been seen) is called “Run Alone” and depicts Minho, the best of the runners, teaching Ben what it takes to be a good runner.

Below, you’ll find an exclusive page from the second story and has Minho out exploring the maze on his own, finding it to be seemingly neverending. Have a look!
