Exclusive Preview: The Art of Brian Stelfreeze Has its Day in DAY MEN: PEN & INK #1

Did you miss the first issue of Day Men back in July? The BOOM! ongoing, which has brought artist Brian Stelfreeze back to monthly comics is getting a snazzy, oversized prestige edition and you can get a look at it below.

Collecting the first two issues of Day Men, this “Pen & Ink” edition removes the colors and presents Stelfreeze’s line work for all to behold.

I’m kind of digging this trend: IDW has been doing something similar with their Artist’s Editions of popular comics runs (I should really pick up that Walt Simonson Thor at some point), and while I don’t want anyone to think I don’t have anything but love for the wildly talented colorists out there, it’s great to get another perspective on an artist’s work from the simplest lines onward.

From BOOM!:

Day Men: Pen & Ink #1
