Exclusive: Preview DC’s BATMAN EARTH ONE and SUPERMAN EARTH ONE OGN Covers

Yesterday we gave you a taste of DC Comics’ LEGO-inspired variant covers coming your way this November. Today, we’ve got another exclusive comics reveal for you in the form of covers for Superman Earth One, Vol 3 by J. Michael Straczynski and Ardian Syaf, and Batman Earth One, Vol. 2 by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. The latest offering in DC’s Earth One series, Jeff Lemire and Terry Dodson’s Teen Titans Earth One, Vol. 1, also drops this November, but you’ll have to wait until 2015 to get your hot little hands on Batman and Superman. Even though patience is a virtue, waiting sucks, so take a sneak peek at our exclusive preview of Ardian Syaf and Gary Frank’s covers.

Here’s the cover for Superman Earth One, Vol. 3 by Ardian Syaf.

  1. I really liked the last two Superman: Earth One novels. They are the closest (the only?) thing DC currently publishes that comes close to the Golden Age and Modern Age version of the character.

Images like this present a Superman whose skin can only withstand an exploding shell and stuff like that. He has limits, which means that he has to work to be victorious, it doesn’t just happen because his name is Superman.

Not even the Man of Steel is immune. Ask your doctor today about the dangers of Herpes.

  3. Edward says:

Excited for the next volume of Batman Earth One, just recently read the previous story for the the first time.

  4. Kenny says:

Just a little heads up, the first cover is by Adrian Syaf, not Gary Frank, and “Superman Earth One” in the first paragraph should be italicized. 🙂
That Batman cover is something else. Gary Frank needs to draw more books that I’m reading.
